Chrysantha) and was bred by the late Brian Gerhard formerly of Down Under Native Orchids. D. Tweetie is D. fuliginosum x D. convolutum, making this plant only a second generation hybrid. At the 2017 Kempsey Speciosum Spectacular Henk van den Burg won grand champion with a wonderfully grown hybrid. This Hybrid was D. Duno Marilyn 'Brian' and was bred by Down Under. The cross is D. Monroe 'Marilyn' x Dunokayla 'Chunks'. Congratulations Henk and thank you for naming this plant after the late Brian Gerhard, I can confidently say he would be very grateful and proud.

Dendrobium dolichophylla ‘Gigantor’ ‘Gigantor’ has been part of the Down Under collection since Neil Finch’s time, I remember Brian always bringing it to a Central Coast ANOS group meeting and being absolutely captivated by the sheer size of the individual flower. I think that is what is most impressive about this example of the species, its size. 2017 ANOS Newcastle Shows
The ANOS Newcastle Group and its spring shows have become fixtures of the orchid growing community. Since its formation many decorated growers and hybridisers have been strong supporters of the group and its endeavours. With a strong membership, currently and a multitude of talented growers it is no wonder quality plants and displays are continually produced.
